WA Is Now Safe: Wa Naa Assures Residents and Potential Investors

The overlord of the Waala traditional state, His Royal Majesty Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV has stated that Wa, the Upper West regional capital has become a safe haven for residents as well as the thriving of businesses and other related investments after the mysterious murder of several men in 2022.

He made this known in his 2023 Dumba celebration speech at the forecourt of the Wa Nana's palace through his spokesperson Jinpehi Naa Kadiri Ibrahim who raed the speech on his behalf. ' Though we are yet to know the perpetrators of the gruesome murders, we are happy that through the proactive measures taken by the regional coordinating council and police administration, the tide has been stemmed'.

The overlord of the Waala traditional state also expressed satisfaction that the a notorious pedophile in Wa, Mr. Rashid Anaata was arrested and prosecuted. This has Culminated in he being sentenced to twenty two (22) years in prison with hard labor. ' We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the police for arresting the notorious paedophile who was making Wa and its environs very unsafe for young girls'. He said.

Enumerating the crucial role motorable roads play in the security, commerce and the general development of the Waala traditional state and the Upper West region at large, the overlord of the Waala traditional state he called for the construction and rehabilitation of several roads which include the following. Wa-Logu road which is in a deplorable state as well as as well as the N 12 highway which is the Wa-Bamboi road.

The president of Ghana was represented by the minister of interior cum MP for Nandom who ceased the opportunity to call on traditional rulers to be forthright with the fight against illegal mining.
